Patentable Subject Matter – Where are we after Alice and subsequent PTO guidance with respect to 35 USC 101?

Brent R. Bellows will speak at a State Bar of Georgia CLE titled “Patentable Subject Matter – Where are we after Alice and subsequent PTO guidance with respect to 35 USC 101?” on March 9, 2015 at Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta, Georgia.

The other panelists joining Dr. Bellows will be Srikant Viswanadham, Sutherland and Rich Miller, Ballard Spahr. The panel discussion will be about the Supreme Court’s decisions with respect to patentable subject matter and subsequent fallout. They will be discussing the effect of the Supreme Court’s decisions in Alice v CLS Bank, Myriad and Mayo as well as the PTO’s interpretation of these decisions and their guidance. The panel will have the perspectives of patent prosecution attorneys in the electrical and software arts as well as the biotechnology and pharmaceutical arts; and will also have the perspectives of a patent litigator.
