Sherry Knowles served as Co-Moderator and spoke as a panelist at the U.S. – China Intellectual Property Adjudication Conference held May 28-20, 2012 and hosted by the China Law Society and Federal Circuit Bar Association. Ms. Knowles served as Co-Moderator for the Breakout Conference: Pharmaceuticals Morning Session on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 along with WANG Shaolin, Ph.D., Senior Partner, Boss & Young Law Firm.

Ms. Knowles also served as a panelist on “Obviousness, Trade Secret Protection, Damages and Injunctive Relief.” Other panelists included Richard Florsheim, Partner, Foley & Lardner LLP (Co-Moderator); Judge LANG Guimei, IPR Tribunal of Supreme People’s Court; HUANG Wushuang, Vice Dean, School of Intellectual Property, East China University of Political Science and Law; LIU Honghuan, Partner, Junhe Law Firm; Michael P. Sandonato, Partner, Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto; and Philip Hirschhorn, Shareholder, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.

This historic event with the Chinese Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit included presentations on the following topics: Issues Concerning Intellectual Property Adjudication, Case Management in Patent Litigation, Enforcement of Patent Issues, Commercialization of IP, Contributions of Courts to the IP Systems, and Aspects of Judging.
